RUG OF THE MONTH
This month's Rug of the Month highlights the beautiful handmade rugs of Aghanistan.
A traditional Afghan rug is wool pile woven on cotton weft (although some regions still use wool on wool) and will average a knot count of about 150. The rugs are traditionally woven on a predominately red field with shades of deep blue and white in the design, with little variation in colors.
