Rug of the Month
This Indo-Heriz is a great rug to spotlight! With a very traditional design this rug can go just about anywhere, but the circle shape makes this rug a must-have! The very traditional and recognizable Heriz design dates back to the mid 1800s. The design very often features a diamond-shaped center medallion with geometric patterns throughout the field and borders. It is believed that the local weavers from Northwest Persian were recruited by Tabriz weavers to produce large room-sized carpets like the popular Tabriz rugs. Tabriz rugs are very floral and ornate, but the local weavers were more skilled in weaving geometric and bolder patterns. The result is this wonderful mix of geometric floral designs the Heriz has been known for. The colors of reds, blues and rusts are most common in Heriz rugs. This 8' round Indo-Heriz is a great piece for an entryway to set the tone of your home or office, or a fabulously durable piece to place under a kitchen table.
